AIR CONDITIONING TIPS/FAQS |
Switch on your
air-conditioning at least once a week for 10-15 minutes to circulate the oil
and gas in the
system, it helps to prevent leakage of Freon gasses - even in the winter!
The system can be used in winter to clear misted windows, in conjunction with
the heater.
Make sure you have
anti-freeze in your vehicle cooling system all year round, or the cooling
process
may freeze your heater matrix.
An incorrectly adjusted air-conditioning system will in some circumstances use more fuel.
If your system is not working
properly, contact an engineer. Compressor failure could result in
total
immobilisation of the vehicle.
Water/condensation under the
vehicle is a natural occurrence with air-conditioning on days of high
humidity,
in a properly maintained vehicle.
A properly serviced system will successfully clear the vehicle of odours and pollen, cleaning and drying the air.
An annual service keeps the
system at optimum efficiency, helps to prevent system failure,
and should reduce fuel consumption.
A qualified engineer should
annually service air-conditioning systems.
